Cigar lighter socket in car - has pin with circumferential grooves holding centralised covering cap with ratchet

The socket has an incandescent heater filament in a carrier enclosed by the socket sleeve. A guide plate is fitted between the incandescent heater wire and its support. The closing gap ratcheting lips hold the cap on the bolt held on the guide plate. The covering cap is fixed centrally to the bolt and it is also central to the operating knob. The bolt (6) has several circumferential grooves into which is pushed a ratcheting line (15) of the closing cap (4). These grooves can have triangular, trapezoidal, rectangular or semicircular cross section. The heater wire support carries the bolt (6) on which is fitted the operating knob.
