The cinema auditorium has a variable seating capacity and comprises an overhead projection box mounted on a carriage. This travels on guides (16) in the side walls and can be positioned at one end or approximately central in the auditorium. In the first position, the cinema is used for showing one film only. In the second position, it can be used to show two films simultaneously by means of one forward (F1) and one backward (F2) projector. A removable dividing partition (46, 48) is used in the latter position to separate the two areas (10a, 10b).
