Insulating flat roof with polystyrene foam slabs - by gluing them to the roofing felt and packing the gaps with sealant before coating with vapour-permeable paint

Insulating a flat roof with polystyrene hard foam panels over a waterproof roofing comprises glueing the foam panels onto the installed roofing. The panels have an apparent density of 15-20kg/m3. The gaps between them are packed with a sealant. The panels are of the grade with a compact skin on both sides. The glue used for stiking the panels to the roofing may be also used as the gap-filling sealant. Finally, the panels are painted with a water-vapour-permeable paint.
