Connection between plain shaft and hub - has expansion sleeve and bolt in hole drilled near hub bore

The connection between machine parts e.g. a shaft (1) and a hub (2) is used for smooth surfaces allowing a sliding fit. In order to fix the parts a number of holes (3) are provided, passing right through the hub surface. Connecting studs (4) in the holes deform sections of the hub, to clamp it onto the shaft.
