The external driving mirror incorporates a solenoid to swing mirror about a vertical axis to a position where it covers the normal dead angle. The spring back is controlled by an integral spring. The driver is able to fl ip the mirror into the dead position, with the normal setting returned by the integral spring. The two settings of the mirror are set by adjustable stops.
