The frame holds and assembled circuit card during passage through a solder bath. Components are inserted in the card away from the frame. The open frame(1) has a clamping strip(3) that spans the frame at the mid point. Retention of a circuit card is provided by two strips(7, 7') bridging the frame. The strips have a series of spring projections(9, 9') pointing downwards. One strip has a central support bar and a pivoting handle(37) to allow the spring projections to be swung clear during loading. Once in position the card is held between the sprung projections of adjacent cards.
