The circuit has at least one transformer allocated to a phase, with a series transistor pair connected in parallel with the primary winding and to secondary windings. A voltage source generates a control pulse train by which the primary side transistors are made alternately conducting. A pulse generator(30, 32) is controlled by the control pulse train. It generates short-circuiting pulses by which the transformer(18) primary and/or secondary windings(18.1, 18.2) are during each primary side transistors(14, 16) switching briefly short-circuited through at least one parallel short-circuiting path.
