<p>The process to tear strips from one or both sides of a woven fabric, partic, a rubberised material for vehicle tyre applications, uses two drums with the fabric edge(s) passed between them. The drums are driven so that their speeds match the speed of moving fabric. The process allows the side strips to be torn free, leaving the longitudinal yarns firmly embedded in the rubber material, and without damaging the usable fabric, while the removing the side waste automatically and simply.</p> |
