Determination of filament force to length characteristic - attaching ends to rotating disc and wt. suspended in beam path of measuring optics

A device determining the force-length characteristic of a filament is designed for exact measurements and short measurement time. The filament (1) is fixed to the edge of a rotating disc (2) at one end with a wt. (3) attached to the other end. The length of the filament is measured contactlessly for different rates of disc revolution. The wt. (3) is suspended in the beam of an optical system and the distance of the body from the rotation axis is measured with a diode line camera (6).
