摘要 1537437 Electronic component assemblies HONEYWELL INFORMATION SYSTEMS Inc 22 Sept 1977 [27 Sept 1976] 39460/77 Heading H1R A computer unit 12 comprises (Fig. 1) an enclosure 14 containing electronic elements on a tray housing 16 sliding on runners 18 of the inside of the enclosure 14, along which run cable forms 20 clear of the housing and runners; fixed to the sides of the enclosure and containing printed circuit terminals 22 plugging into sockets 24 within housing 16 when it has moved into the enclosure. A control panel 26 is hinged to the enclosure end over pin 28 to allow access to the interior electronics, and is connectable to sockets 24 over terminal 30. The electronic elements in housing 16 comprise (Fig. 2) vertical buses 32, 33 adjacent the sides at the same inward distance from the front of enclosure 14, leaving an unobstructed space therebetween, and comprises plural distinct multicontact p.m. connectors 34 engaging holes of a printed circuit board 35 making required interconnections. The buses are interconnected by ground bus 36 and D.C. supply bus 38 from A.C. energized power supply 40 slidable engaging the rear of housing 16 and limited by flanges 42 engaging flanges 44 for screw interconnection. Contacts 46, 48 of the power supply engage clips 50, 52 of the buses 36, 38 to supply the printed circuits. Boards 60 slide on spaced runners inside the housing and each of the five boards comprises a mother board 64 with one or more daughter boards 66 and 72 thereupon. A contact region 74 at each carrier of a board 64 engage respective sockets of the bus assemblies 32, 33 for energization and signals. The daughter board 72 (Fig. 3) is held separate from mother board 64 by electrical connectors 76, 78 interconnecting corresponding points located by buses and holes for alignment and secured over insulant members 106 by clasps 92 having protrusions fitting holes of the buses and secured by screws through upper clasps 102 and insulant members 104 (Fig. 4, not shown). The daughter board 72 carries a multicontact electrical socket receiving pins of a multicontact printed circuit plug connected to a cable leading to specific element of the computer unit, and carrying a clip engaging a lip of the mother board (Fig. 5, not shown). The daughter and mother boards are rapidly spaced so that each daughter board is spaced midway between adjacent mother boards carried by equally spaced runners 62 (Fig. 6, not shown) and suction fans of the power supply draw air through perforations of the control panel, the printed circuit boards, and the power unit (Fig. 8, not shown). The control panel is hinged at one end (Fig. 7, not shown) and contains a printed circuit board connected over a cable and multiconductor plug and socket to a printed circuit board in housing 16. A radio interference screen (not shown) may be inserted between the vertical buses 32, 33 (Fig. 2). The control panel may comprise a unitary top with sloping front and a perforated air intake lip horizontally pivoted about its rear edge and capable of support by stays when open (Fig. 9, not shown).
