<p>An indicator of moisture in engineering equipment, in partic. in electrical insulators, has an auxiliary device for measurement of degree and duration of humidification which is extremely cheap to make and apply and requires no current supply. A water-soluble dye in fine granular form is applied to a porous non hyrogscopic carrier in the form of a pulverised substance. A mixt. of the pulverised substance and the dye is suspended in a water free fluid little subject to vapourisation and applied to the object.</p> |
