<p>Capillary filtration system consists of a hydrophobic mesh band which is dipped into the slurry. Liq. then flows up the band by capillary action, over a roller and runs down the other side by gravity. The band can be cleaned by a spray jet system. It has a drive mechanism to turn it round. This is manually controlled. The band runs through a pair of press rolls mounted in the slurry. It can be on timed sequence. Used for filtering slurries. Provides a better filtration effect than other systems at lower energy usage.</p> |
