PURPOSE:To save the equipment cost and operating cost and decrease the product cost by dull-processing of rolling rolls by means of small rolls to which dull-processing is applied without direct processing of rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION:After corresponding carriage 3 to the end of a rolling roll 1 which has been equipped, processing roll 2 is depressed to rolling roll 1 and, at the same time, motor 5 of the rolling roll holding device is driven to give rolling roll 1 mild rotation. Thus, processing roll 2 rotates correspondingly on the surface of rolling roll 1 in press-contact state to apply dull-processing, physically uneven processing, to the peripheral surface of rolling roll 1. Carriage 3 is shifted toward the other end together with the rotation of rolling roll 1 to complete the dull-processing on the whole surface of rolling roll 1. Processing roll 2 is made of harder material than that of rolling roll 1 and artificial diamond and sintering hard alloys are suitable for materials of processing roll 2. |
