Flush mounted distribution box construction - has tubular base ensuring top lip is flush with hardened surface of concrete floor

The embedded distribution box, for cables, consists of a rectangular box embedded in a concrete floor. The box holds connectors etc. and has cable ducting leading to and from it. To ensure that the box remains at the right height and horizontal whilst the floor shuttering is filled with concrete, the box sits on a tubular base (11) which in turn rests on the shuttering. The floor has reinforcing bars and wires which form a mesh around the base. The base height is chosen so that the lip of the box is flush with the surface of the floor.
