Control device for selective and individual vertical displacement of warp yarns in a Jacquard machine has a number of setting mechanisms one for each warp yarn arranged in sets which are arranged in turn in at least two vertically spaced banks over the warps yarns, whereby each setting mechanism consists of a cylinder and a piston. Used for mfg. fabrics with a number of patterns extending across the width of the fabrics. Control device is economical and permits of quick changing to meet the required patterns.
