The application point of the return spring on the accelerator pedal is varied w.r.t the vehicle or motor speed, or the engine vacuum. This allows the driver to feel when a set dynamic parameter is reached by the engine. The system provides a simple speed, or torque indicator for the vehicle without the driver having to loose any driving attention.
