PURPOSE:To enable measurement of the insulation resistance during operation of the engine by measuring the current flowing in the high tension side circuit of the ignition coil and comparing with the current under normal insuration resistance of the ignition plug and detecting the reduction of the insulation resistance of the ignition plug. CONSTITUTION:Numeral 1 is a comparator which inputs current of point A and generates power when the discharging current exceed a fixed value, 2 is a monostable multivibrator which erases indication of the indicator as far as spark discharge is normal. Numeral 3 is a monostable multi vibrator to which open-close signal of an interrupter B is inputted, and outputs signals indicating detecting range of the discharge current, 4 is monostable multivibrator which generates an abnormal indication pulse, 5 is a switching element which generates output when the spark discharge current is lower than a difinite value and operates an indicator 6 to indicate an abnormal discharge. Numeral 7 is a voltage comparator which generates output when the current A is lower than a dedfinite value, to monitor rising current synchronizing with open and close of the interrupter B, and when the current exceed a certain value presents insulating resistance decrease and indicates it by an indication circuit 11. |
