PURPOSE:To mold efficiently part of plastic furniture with a grain pattern, by printing a grain pattern on a plastic film, molding the film by molds, and pressing a melted plastic material into the resulting molded component. CONSTITUTION:A male mold and a female mold 3 for extrusion molding of plastics are prepared using a sample 1 as its master pattern. Molds for vacuum molding of a plastic film are also prepared using the sample 1 as its master pattern. A roll is prepared for printing the gain pattern of the sample 1. Using this roll, a grain pattern is printed on a soft vinyl chloride resin film, and the film is cut into desired pieces. The cut piece is subjected to vacuum molding using the molds to obtain a molded component having the shape corresponding to the shape of the sample 1. The component is placed in close contact with the bottom of the female mold 3, then the male mold 2 is applied, and a melted polystyrol material is pressed into the molds to obtain the desired item having the film bonded integrally with its surface with the grain pattern in the recessed sections. |
