The control arrangement is for a surgical h.g. generator and comprises a circuit(10) encased in series with the input coils(2, 3) of a h.f. transmitter(4) supplied by the generator(1), whose output coil(5) is in series with the handpiece of the instrument. The control circuit(10) may be a potentiometer determining the base current of a transistor. The potentiometer is connected(11) with the control(11a) of the handpiece. The base current may alternatively be controlled by a comparator supplied with actual and desired voltage valves, the latter set by the handpiece.
