The system comprises a meter, and the flow and temperature difference are measured between the heating medium inlet and outlet. Measurement results are multiplied with each other, taking into account the temperature coefficient. Temperature is measured by a sensor consisting of a linearised thermistor network, whose resistance-temperature characteristic and reproducibility are highly accurate, as in 2710782. The temperature difference values are applied in digital form to a summating meter, which adds them until a certain digital value - the detection number Z - is reached, when the mechanical meter for the consumed heat is moved forwardly by one step.
