Spring loaded brake lever on skateboard - is operated when user steps off board by action of link arm attached to mounting bracket

A skate-board(10) is provided with a mounting bracket(11) which is attached to the underside of the board. A horizontal pivot pin at one end of the bracket(11a) locates a lever(15) whose free end is provided with a brake pad(16). When the skate-board carries a person on its top surface, a link arm(13) which is attached to the opposite end of the mounting bracket(12) and the brake lever, pulls the brake pad away from the skate-board rollers(17). If the person steps off the board, a compression spring(14), acting on the link arm(13), extends and applies the brakes(16).
