<p>The loading ramp is mounted in a recess in a fixed ramp, having an upper frame whose outwards-extending horizontal flange rests on the fixed ramp, while the vertical flange bears against the side of it. A travel bridge with underframe hinges at the rear end on the upper frame cross-member and rests at the front on the lorry platform etc. to be loaded. The travel bridge is raised and lowered by a ram acting between it and the underframe. A gap (4) is left between the underframe (1) and the floor (2) of the recess (3) in the fixed ramp, and there can also be a gap (6) between the underframe and the rear wall (5).</p> |
