Turbine engine with compression ignition - has eccentric rotor with sliding vanes and runs on heavy vaporising oil

The turbine engine is designed to run on vaporising oil or diesel oil. It has an eccentric rotor with several vanes. Air only is inducted and the ignition spark plug is replaced by a flow plug for cold start purposes and a fuel injector (24) is fitted at the highest point of compression. Additional fuel injectors working separately or in synchrony with the first injector may be used to give an afterburner effect to improve perforations. The intake air (15) is preheated and compressed and may contain additional oxygen. Diesel fuel is injected; injection may be continuous or in a series of jerks.
