PURPOSE:To secure precision easily by widening a development gap by moving a developer faster on a development sleeve at a doctor part than at a contact part where an electrostatic latent image comes into contact. CONSTITUTION:In a developing container 11, a supply sleeve 13 is arranged at its lower part and a development sleeve 15 containing a magnet 14 kept still is also arranged at its upper part. Then, the surface of the supply sleeve 13 moves clockwise at a speed v1, and that of the development sleeve 15 also moves in the same direction at a speed v2 with the v2 greater than the v1. When v1=v2 as usual, a doctor gap Gd should be 0.18+ or -0.05mm. and very high precision is required. When v1=1/2v2, however, even the doctor gap Gd having the same value, very loose value link 0.35+ or -0.1mm., is sufficient, thereby widening the doctor gap. |
