The plain bearing is for crankshafts and connecting rode in which oil supply and drain holes are drilled. An oil space (9) is provided at one side of each bearing. The oil space is located between the side of the bearing and a shoulder on the shaft. A hollow recess (5) is machined in the side of this shoulder. Sealing of the space is obtained by a sliding ring (13) which is pressed by a spring ring (14) against the shoulder on the shaft. The oil is free to drain from the other side of the bearing.
