The auxiliary unit is base on two cassette tape units, one of which is used for the read and the other for the write process. Serial data is converted to parallel form (SP1) and after filtering (CCF, CTR) is passed to a switching unit (U) and buffer (BS1). After conversion, with synchronization, the data can be recorded on tape (WK). Data already stored on a second cassette (RK) is converted to parallel form and stored in a buffer (BS2), from which it passes to the editor logic (EL), parallel-serial converter (PS2) and is available to drive a printer or be further transmitted over a line. Decoded data (CD) is passed to a read-logic unit (RLe. The editor unit is controlled according to the output of this logic unit and data is fed via the change-over switch to the buffer store (BS1) of the write channel.
|
