Autoclave for hardening sand-lime bricks - fitted with automatically operated drain valve for removing condensed steam

The autoclave has a steam inlet pipe and is used esp. for hardening sand-lime bricks. The condensate drain pipes on the autoclave are connected to a pressurised vessel in which the level of the condensate triggers a control pulse opening or closing a ball valve in drain pipe. Inlet pipe has a by-pass connected to the upper part of the measuring vessel, the lower part of which has an outlet pipe leading to the junction of the drain pipes. Pulses are pref. fed to an electric level tester actuating a pneumatic cylinder operating valve. Automatic removal of condensate from the autoclave is possible so that uniform brick hardening conditions are maintained but loss of steam is avoided.
