<p>This parking brake for a motor vehicle comprises a sealed casing (1) separated by a moving partition (2) into two compartments (3, 4) hermetically separated from each other and a vacuum reservoir (11). The partition (2) is integral with a rod (5) connected to the actuation cables of the brake and subjected to the action of a spring (10) which tends to keep it in the position corresponding to that of actuating the brake. Set in communication with the compartment (3), the vacuum reservoir (11) creates a vacuum in the latter, which forces the partition (2) to move in the direction contrary to that of the resistance of the spring (10), thereby releasing the parking brake. It therefore constitutes a safety brake, particularly for heavy vehicles. <IMAGE></p> |
