The D/A converter has a digital input circuit (19) whose outputs are connected via a register (20) to a comparator (16). The register's outputs are compared with those from a decoder (3) and the result is integrated (17) to form the analog output (18a). The decoder's inputs are connected to a cascade counter (6) driven by an oscillator (5). Several comparator/register/input circuit units (2a, 2b...2n) are connected to the same decoder's output. The advantage lies in simplicity and in being capable of integration using LSI techniques.
