2,2-Substd.-3,3-alkane diamine platinum (II) complex of formula (I) is prepd. by reacting an aq. soln. of K2PtCl4 with a satd. soln. of potassium iodide, adding amine of formula A, and recovering a compd. of formula (I), where X is iodine, and then converting X into other anion. R1 and R2 are H, C1-20 alkyl. R1 and R2 also can form C3-7 cycloalkyl together. R3 and R4 are H, C1-20 alkyl, aryl or aralkyl contg. C1-20 in alkyl. X is Cl, Br, sulfate, phthalate, acetate, malonate, carboxylate, isocitrate, substituted malonate or carboxylate.
