The cell has at least two chambers, each with two main surfaces. A series flow of electrolyte through the chambers is produced, with the electrolyte containing at least partly active particles (22) and/or particles carrying at least one active material. At least one of the chambers has at least one electron collector. The liquid flows through a connecting pipe from the inlet chamber to the outlet chamber. The pipe opens at its both ends into the main surfaces of the two chambers, and its ends are so shaped that the flow lines are perpendicular to the pipe end surface.
