Emergency escape hatch for mass transit vehicle - has semi-round hinges fixing top edge and releasing after limited pivoting

The emergency exit hatch may be used on public service vehicles and comrises a panel (6) which is fixed in a frame (1) opening by a wedging action of pivotable hand-levers (10) on the bottom edge. The top edge of the panel is now additionally secured by hinge fittings (17) which release the panel after say 45 deg. rotation. The hinges comprise a cantilever axle-pin (22) entering a hole (26) in a block (18) fixed to the frame (1). The hole may be vertically elongated with the effect that the panel drops after initial nominal pivoting.
