<p>The arrangement consists of two sloping guides, over which the chain slides past the welder. The first part of the guide consists of two parallel strips (9) which support the horizontal links of the chain. The vertical links of the chain are guided between the strips. The second part of the guide consists of a semi-circular channel. A saddle which can be moved vertically is mounted under the welding electrodes (4, 5) between the up and down guides (8, 9) for the chain. The saddle supports the chain link under the electrodes during welding. Two push rods (2, 3) push the ends of the chain link which are to be welded together. The end of the down guide for the chain, after the welder, is so formed that the chain is turned and the horizontal links are placed into the vertical position with the ends to be welded in the up position.</p> |
