The fork lift truck has two parallel forks on which are supported angles rails (9) to tilt about longitudinal axes and grip under the flanged lips of the bins. The rear ends of the forks are joined by cross members for security. The bins are carried in a low position for a low centre of gravity. The truck can easily lift and lower the bins from the ground.
