Dismantlable recreational catamaran or ice yacht - has additional central framework to increase catamaran rigidity and carry ice yacht runners

The dismantlable recreational catamaran cum ice yacht is basically conventional but has a rectangular framework comprising longitudinal square section tubes (24, 26) and transverse angle bars (28, 30) between the cross-beams (14, 16) linking the hulls to increase torsional stiffness. Single bolt clamps (32) secure this framework which carries the longitudinally adjustable mast mounting (40) and, from the ends of the transverse brackets, the folding floor-board frames (34). For the conversion to ice yacht the hulls and front cross-beam are removed. Runners are then fitted into the hull brackets (20) on the after crossbar and a forked bracket carrying a third is inserted and fixed in the open front ends of the framework tubes.
