The valve housing has two openings for pipe connections in the end faces, these being off-centre and offset from each other in the peripheral direction. One of the openings forms a valve seat on the inside, coaxial to a valve guide. The housing is formed merely by two plates (2, 3) clamped together to form a sealed pressure-resistant joint. One at least of the plates has a recess formed in it by pressing (4). Constituting the housing inner chamber. Alternatively, such a recess can be formed in each plate, plates and recesses being symmetrical. The recesses can be of circular section.
