The fuel distributor housing has an axial bore (16) to accommodate a slotted bush (17) held in a flexible seal (18) to prevent fuel leakage. The regulator slide pin (21) is able to move axially inside the slotted bush against a return spring (15). The fuel is regulated to the various fuel injector chambers (11) by means of longitudinal grooves (23) in the slotted bush working with an annular groove (22) in the slide pin (21). The slotted bush has radial bore (25) leading to the injector chambers (11). The sliding pin has an external adjuster screw (41) which screws into the top of the slide pin. The adjuster screw has an external threaded section with a threaded ring (43). The threaded ring has an external thread to screw into the distributor housing. The threaded ring internal thread pitch (44) and external thread pitch (45) have differing pitches. The pitch difference provides a more sensitive adjustment.
