The head lamp glass cover wash system consists of a wash medium reservoir, a suction pressure pump and a wash jet directed at each head lamp glass, as in 654226. Each wash jet body (25) is axially penetrated by a bore (26) containing a spiral section (30). The spiral section has three recesses to impart a twist to the wash medium flow before entering the jet aperture (27). The right hand wash jet to produce a counter rotating turbulance.
