The element may have the shape of a cylinder (47), sphere (48), dihedron (50) or prism (51). It has reflective surfaces formed by a transparent varnish (lacquer) (64) in which glass beads (63), laid on a metal foil (62), are embedded. The conformation of the reflective element is such that it reflects light even when it is at a grazing angle and when the surface (65) of the element is covered with a layer of water (66).
