The three-phase meter has a perforated disk (L), through which an optoelectronic pulse train proportional to the consumed power is applied to a purely digital electronic measuring device. An adjustable frequency divider (t1) divides the pulse train frequency, and the divided frequency is compared in a reversible counter (VR) with a reference frequency derived from the mains frequency. It signals and/or controls through a relay (R) connection or disconnection of loads. The counter is further connected with signalling devides which include LED's emitting different colours, for example green for "on" and red for "off".
