<p>The lengthwise guide comprises for individual sections held together by screws. Parallel to the screws drillings (7) are provided, to accommodate taper dowel pins (8) with tapped extraction holes (9) in them. The design relieves the screws of much of the load imposed by the roller bearings of the component working in the guide. Roller bearings are provided on each flat side of the non-circular rod, to permit guidance over a linear movement. The sections are made to be identical, with dowels and screws at the end of one passing into the side of the adjacent section.</p> |
