The installation duct (10) has an opening (29) which extends over its length and can be closed, through which the cables to be guided can be inserted. The side walls (13, 14) of the duct are integrally formed on an attachment strip (12) of the same. In order to enable closing and opening of the opening (29) without the assistance of a separate tool as well, at least one of the side walls (13, 14) can be bent towards the other side wall about bending axes running in the duct longitudinal direction. Latching elements (18, 21), which can engage with one another, are provided on the free longitudinal edges of both side walls (13, 14). The advantage of this installation duct is that it can be constructed as an integral, extruded plastic profile (11). The cross-sectional shape of the profile then corresponds to the open position of the duct. <IMAGE>
