The hair dryer (1) is provided with a three speed switch (2) as weel as with a safety switch (3) which may or may not be actuating coloured light bulb, either green or red. Irrespective the speed the blow-dryer (1) is being operated at, by pressing the conveniently situated safety switch (3) the heat is reduced to approximately 200 Watt. If pressed again, the speed will automatically return to the originally operated speed of the dryer.
