<p>A magnetic therapy device has a disc-shaped permanent magnet (12) of high field strength with its poles arranged on its major surfaces, the magnet being embedded in a covering (10) of cushion form max. can serve as a support for the body part to be treated. The ring magnet is of sintered ceramic and has a field strength of 3,000 - 4,500 Gauss. The cushion comprises an outer covering and layers (13, 14) of foamed material. Several magnets may alternatively be sandwiched between two rubber sheets on a belt that can be strapped around the body.
