The securing device prevents movement of the stacked containers. The device consists of an angle piece (5), a horizontal leg of which is suspended in an elongated hole of a lower corner fitting of an upper container when in the operating position. The angle piece when in the rest position fits with its free leg through an upper corner fitting (3) of the container located below. the securing device also includes a suspension rod. This fixed the angle piece into the suspended operating position and swivels it into the rest position.
