The invention relates to a hydrostatic axial-piston machine having a revolving cylindrical drum, which is arranged in a casing and accommodates pistons arranged on a pitch circle, and having a swash plate which is mounted about a pivot running eccentrically to the pitch circle in a bearing which is formed by at least one support having a bearing face which is free in the direction of the pistons, the swash plate being arranged loosely between the support and the pistons and being pivotable by means of an actuator which is located on the side of the swash plate opposite the pivot, the adjustment motion of the swash plate being limited by end stops, according to Patent Application P 3419266.2. The purpose of the invention is to develop the axial piston machine in such a way that the actuator is not able to lift the swash plate from its support. This is achieved by positioning the end stop (31), which limits the adjustment motion of the swash plate (16) in the direction to the pistons (12), on that side of the swash plate (16), relative to the pivot (21) thereof, on which the actuator (28) is located. <IMAGE>
