This radiator valve knob is produced as a standard component but may easily be fitted to a wide range of valve bodies and shanks. The open end of the knob is grooved outside, so that the skirt can be easily cut to a length appropriate to the particular shank and body. Inside the closed end, a square recess is formed around the hole for the fixing screw. A number of square plates to fit the recess are produced, each having a central hole to suit the shank cross sections currently available. Finally, self tapping threaded inserts are provided to fit in the shank bore and have a tapped central hole to suit the fixing screw thread.
