Two parallel gear trains terminating in output shafts 11, 20 and driven by a pinion 5 are located in a casing. In order to vary the direction of rotation of the driven shaft 20, a floating axle 14 with an intermediate wheel 13 can be changeably mounted either in an intermediate driving plane (as shown) between the basic wheels 6, 15 of the two gear trains or in a driving plane between the driving pinion 5 and the basic wheel 15 of the second gear train. <IMAGE>
