<p>VARIABLE VOLUME CLEARANCE CHAMBER FOR COMPRESSORS The improved clearance pocket or chamber for compressors described in this specification includes a hollow housing attached to the cylinder of the compressor. The housing is divided into two clearance chambers and into three power chambers. A valve member located in the housing is movable to provide communication between the compressor cylinder and one or both of the clearance chambers. Movable pistons operably arranged with respect to the valve member are located in the power chambers to position the valve member in the desired position.
