An image storage target of a cathode-ray tube, comprising a laminated layer consisting of a conductive layer and a resistive layer contacted with the conductive layer, and an insulative layer mounted on the laminated layer in such a manner that the resistive layer and/or insulative layer are intersticed to allow the electron beam to imping on the resistive layer while the electron beam is modulated in intensity due to electric change stored in the insulative layer representing an image. When the resistive layer is made of a photo-conductive material and the conductive layer is transparent, the target can be used for an image pickup and storage tube.
